APRIL'S SPOTLIGHT IS ON EXPERT ENGINEER: ABDIWELI ABDI


Abdi started the foundations of his career within IT in education at the University of Borås. Between 2013 and 2015 he studied to be an IT technician, focusing on System Administration, Automation/Scripting, Networking, and IT Security.

Upon graduation, he was given his first tech job at Mölndals Stad as an IT Technician, where he provided on-site support to users for all IT-related issues. 
After a couple of years, he transitioned into an Engineer role where he worked with more complex aspects of tech, including his soon-to-be love: Endpoint Manager 💞

At the beginning of 2019, after being an in-house Engineer for almost 4 years, Abdi decided further develop his career by starting a role as a Consultant; focusing on Enterprise Client Management (SCCM, Intune, Application Packaging, M365). This was a slight change from the environment he had been used to, but CLEARLY he did pretty well... 

Abdiweli continued to grow his expertise, joining another well known consulting firm in 2020 and gaining further insight into the Modern Work sphere. He also took multiple Microsoft certifications within Modern Work, bolstering his commitment to improvement. 🏅

In 2023, Abdiweli joined Xenit as a Specialist Engineer within Modern Work. 
He was assigned to the Endpoint Team, and so his responsibilities centered around SCCM, Intune, Device Management and Cloud Services.
After working on a lot of different projects, gaining additional skills within his field and showing real passion for technology, Abdiweli was promoted to Expert Engineer in May 2024. 


Abdiweli has been with us at Xenit for almost two years now, and what he really appreciates about working here is the freedom to work from anywhere while still being able to focus on taking care of his customers. He has noted that there is a huge variety of tasks and challenges offered here, which helps him to grow and develop. 

Abdiweli values strong team spirit, and this is exactly what he has within the Endpoint Team. Our team members support each other, constantly exchange ideas, and collaborate to find the best solutions. Moving forward, Abdiweli plans to deepen his expertise in Modern Workplace even further and take on more complex projects.
